Ao planejar uma viagem, a primeira coisa  é escolher um bom roteiro, com bons hotéis e preços acessíveis ao seu bolso. Em agosto deste ano, meu marido e eu resolvemos conhecer um lugar novo para nós: Portugal. A primeira escolha foi o hotel Pestana Pousada Lisboa, na Praça do Comércio. Localizado num dos espaços mais interessantes da cidade, o hotel foi um projeto ambicioso de reabilitação ao transformar um edifício de elevado valor histórico cultural numa sofisticada unidade hoteleira. Guardando as devidas características originais do edifício e conjugando autênticas relíquias numa decoração contemporânea e totalmente adaptada às modernas exigências do conforto moderno. Daí o resultado : um ambiente sofisticado, clássico e urbano, onde pontuam inúmeras antiguidades e obras de arte. Um luxo e um conforto só!!!!

Large hotels with excellent cuisine  in Portugal

When planning a trip, the first thing is to choose a good script, with good hotels and affordable to your pocket. In August this year, my husband and I decided to know a new place for us: Portugal. The first choice was the hotel Pestana Inn Lisbon on Praça do Comércio. Visitando Coimbra

Visitamos a famosa cidade de Coimbra onde está a famosa Universidade de Coimbra, uma das mais antigas universidades do mundo. Permanecemos um dia na cidade, no hotel Quinta das Lágrimas , que fica na rua Antonio Augusto Gonçalves, em Santa Clara. Situado numa área de 18,3 hectares em torno de um palácio do século XIX, e que foi depois transformado em hotel de luxo. Nos seus jardins, acumulam-se memórias desde o século XIV, baseado em lendas populares e na sua própria história. Neles encontram-se as Fontes dos Amores e Fonte das Lágrimas. O lugar é famoso por ter sido cenário dos amores do príncipe D.Pedro e Inês de Castro, seu grande amor. O palácio original foi destruído por um incêndio, em 1879, sendo reconstruído ao estilo dos antigos solares rurais portugueses, com biblioteca e capela. Em 1995 foi inaugurado o Hotel Quinta das Lágrimas, que integra a rede da cadeia Relais & Châteaux, considerado como um dos melhores do país . Seu restaurante, o Arcadas, possui uma estrela no Guia Michelin. Um lugar paradisíaco!!!!

We visited the famous city of Coimbra where the famous University of Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in the world. We remain a day in town, the hotel Quinta das  Lágrimas, located in Antonio Augusto Gonçalves street in Santa Clara. Porto é a segunda mais importante cidade de Portugal. Nós permanecemos uma semana no excelente hotel cinco estrelas Intercontinental - Palacio das Cardosas.Uma das grandes vantagens desse hotel é sua localização. A sua equipe de funcionários é muito eficiente e gentil.O hotel está situado no centro histórico do Porto. O bairro abriga monumentos religiosos onde se destaca a Catedral do Porto, a Igreja de S. Francisco, com catacumbas e o interior revestido de ouro e a Torre dos Clérigos. Podemos conhecer diversas caves do mundialmente famoso vinho do Porto. Além da famosa livraria Lello. Uma cidade belíssima!!



Strolling in Porto

Porto is the second largest city of Portugal. We stayed a week at the excellent five-star hotel Intercontinental - Palacio Cardosas.Uma of the great advantages of this hotel is its location. Their staff is very efficient and gentil.O hotel is located in the historic center of Porto. The neighborhood is home to religious monuments which includes the Porto Cathedral, the Church of St. Francis, with catacombs and the interior coated with gold and Clerigos Tower. We know several cellars of the world famous Port wine. Besides the famous Lello bookshop. A beautiful city !!
